With the body sat in the garden I couldn't see how the bonnet was every going to fit. After trimming the edges following advice from the forums it still didn't sit right. So, contrary to the manual I did not fit the bonnet before putting the body on the chassis. I know I will probably have to remove it again, but having the body sitting straight (something that wasn't possible in the garden!) allows me to position the bonnet in the right place - just hope I can get an arm up to mark the position of the bolt holes... Next is the seat belt mod as the way Pilgrim designed the top seat belt mount (embedded in the GRP body) isn't strong enough and can be an IVA failure.
